Are you in the WRAG group? Did you appeal to go in the support group?

You would have to show good reason for not going to a work focussed interview.

Would it be possible to attend if you took someone with you?

You can ask for a private room too.

Sorry to hear your dilemma,as a fellow member,I also suffer from anxiety issues and find talking with strangers,a hard task, you will have to try and go to these wrag interviews or you will have your money stopped (sanctioned),I've already been to two,but requested on the second one if could have the session away from the crowds,it will make you like me the experience better, than worse.

I saw the GP today as this issue has been making me suicidal and he has given me a sick note saying i cannot go to crowded places and he has said this remains indefinatly

The sick note does not override the requirement to attend WFIs. I appreciate you find going to crowded places difficult, going to the JCP can raise anxiety levels for even healthy claimants, but to suggest you are suicidal seems a bit far fetched. What is the worst that could happen if you attended?

But from your previous posts you are able to get to the dentist and to your local "massive" supermarket.

I don't think the interview will be as bad as you think. You can take someone to accompany you to the building if you need some support.

You also manage to take your dog/hamster to the vet by foot....

It may do you good to have to go to this interview as when nothing horrendous happens it might ease your anxiety a bit. Get your Mum to go with you for support. Facing your demons can make them feel a lot less terrifying.

It is good advice. Attending WFIs is very difficult for those with anxiety disorders, but in the long run has to be less stressful than having your only source of income stopped?
