little luxuries

Fresh flowers at all times in as many rooms as possible. We buy some at least once a week and constantly replenish those that are starting to show signs of decay, mixing and matching.
I am happy enough with supermarket flowers, expecially some of M&S or Waitrose bouquets which last for ages if handled properly.
If we had a decent florist locally, I would be happy to buy from there but our local one is full of tat with silly little soft toys and bows or feathers in garish colours so I avoid it.
When I am in St Albans or Berhamsted, I treat myself to some lovely flowers from the florists there.0 -
oops, just read something while browsing

And next week the Daily Fail will be reporting that an afternoon power nap prolongs lifespan......................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

Whatever we want and whenever we want...want...not need.
Lurpak butter - free range local eggs...and yes, a very nice wine.

We're still both working, but a monthly full body massage is quite high on the list of little luxuries. Sadly our massage therapist hurt her shoulder before Christmas, and we haven't found another to match her.Signature removed for peace of mind0

Free range eggs, grass fed beef, monthly reflexology session plus manicure and pedicure. And facial of course! I had my first facial etc. at the age of 60. Can't believe how good it makes me feel so a day at the spa/ beauticians is my monthly treat! When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0

When it comes to butter - it has to be goat's butter (and milk) for me.
It tastes the way cow's used to.0 -
My treats are a weekly blow dry, Lurpak unsalted, Yorkshire Gold tea bags and good red wine. By far the most important though, is travel. We try and do as many holidays as possible, and now we're retired, more long haul, such as Oz for a month in September to visit youngest son and see some of the sights. The last thing I'd give up is travel, as "stuff" is not important to me in comparison.0

Travel for me too.... not very "little" but a luxury because I have discovered cruising and I like it! (A lot)
As was pointed out before- "You can't take it with you" so enjoy spending some of it!Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!
