I've just bought an LG soundbar with woofer. The soundbar is working OK but there's no sound coming from the woofer, just vibration. I was expecting the deep bass sounds to come from this. Perhaps I'm wrong? Or I've not quite got the settings right yet.
What is the precise function of the woofer, please?

The Subwoofer is responsible for playing the lower frequency parts of the sound that the soundbar speakers can't produce. These will generally be non localised sound (i.e it won't feel like the sound is coming from a particular direction), and may well include sound that is more felt than heard.
Does your sound bar have any setup mode so it plays a test tone from all speakers so you can hear them individually to check they are connected properly? Does it have an auto-configuration mode where it attempts to detect the best configuration for your room?0 -
Thank you, that's useful - I'll ask my son to have a look at the options.0

How is it connected as well, optical, stereo cable, HDMI.
IF hdmi, then need to change setting on the tv to allow the sound to output the sound, if your tv has hdmi out that isMansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0 -
Feeling a slight idiot! Son found the woofer volume button and set it higher.
Sorry to have wasted your time. Thanks again.0
