I have a HD Freeview box and can get either but not both. What I mean is I have to completely retune to change from Freeview to Saorview and the same again to change back which is too much trouble for me. Because Saorview doesn't offer the full range of channels that Freeview does it isn't an option to use it all the time either. However if i really wanted to watch something that was only available on Saorview it can be done.

That is quite a strange one, I have 3 freeview HD tv's connected to the attic aerial and get both freeview and Saorview. Saorview starts from channel 800 onwards and is not restricted for the football. It is probably because our broadcast freeview does not have RTE channels in them because of our proximity to the southern transmitter (which is actually North if that makes sense:rotfl:)
I am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:

It's not because of your proximity to the Saorview transmitter, but because of your proximity to the Black mountain transmitter and also the signal power level from there. The NI Rte MUX is only 1000W whereas the other main MUX use 50000W or 100000W !
The signal I pick up is from Clermont Carn with a power output of 160000W. You can see its projected signal path here http://www.ukfree.tv/txdetail.php?a=SB173735
