B+S aren't what they used to be. I have it on good authority that the smaller engines are built in South America and nowhere near as good as the old ones.
Personally, I'd look for something with a Honda engine.
Id agree with this to an extent, a lot of them are now made in Brazil and they are not quite as well made as the old US made ones but, they are still much better than the cheap chinese engines on a lot of the unbranded mowers, parts are also very easy to obtain.
As you said Honda also make good small engines.
Personally i have an old (25+year) hayter with an old B+S but i did buy a cheap B&Q one to keep up the allotment and i have to say it seems pretty solid but i very much doubt i'll be able to get parts when it does go wrong0 -
Thankfully we haven't had to get any spares yet, but we have a local garden machinery firm which is an appointed Masport dealer and does spares, repairs and servicing.peter_the_piper wrote: »Where do you get Rotarola spares from?
