Parking eye

Hey guys, had a ticket from PE around a year ago because I forgot to pay when I parked at Fistral beach and went for a surf, I have ignored it but just got a claim form from Northmapton court for 265 quid. I have emailed the owners of the car park in hope they will write me a letter to cancel the ticket, what else can I do in order to fight PE off?

Any and all advice appreciated I am screwed if I have to pay this fine.

Thanks

I can see you have not read ANY of the stickies as you called it a fine.
It is not, it is an invoice.

Start at the top of the parking board and work your way down the stickies.

    Then ask for help.
    Be happy...;)

Well obviously you have to acknowledge and defend the claim which is what the MCOL papers will tell you. That's why I wrote a whole section on the NEWBIES thread about small claims (post #5 of the top thread). Please read the advice & links there in the small claims section.

You need to get the Parking Prankster's 'Guide to defending a Parking Eye court claim' and read it urgently - but then again that's in the NEWBIES thread too.

No-one should just pay what they are asking - that would be pointless seeing as you 'could' settle at any time and have so many other options and a decent defence to submit. What did you learn from ALL the other threads about PE Northampton court cases, including the posts by IvorPECheque about Fistral Beach, you know, the threads you found when you search the forum for 'Eye Northampton' as keywords (for example). Do some serious reading!

By the way I just went to Fistral beach and I have some photos of the terrible lack of signs there - also they are not lit at night, if it was dark when you went? I can also help you with your defence wording but only when you've read the 'Prankster's Guide' to defending small claims and also read the links I give newbies in post #5 of the sticky thread 'Private parking ticket, old or new? NEWBIES please read these FAQs first'. Lots of hyperlinks in post #5 of that sticky, show you what happens when and one person's experience.
