Delta force

Hi guys,
As part of my stag do, one of my best men organised us to go paintballing. 2 people ended up not coming along and so we were expecting to get refunded for the 2 seeing as its not cost them anything.
However, we requested this and they said they couldn't refund it but would get 2 free places next time. We rarely go and so this isn't ideal for us. Essentially they are withholding £50 for us to use next time.
When i suggested this was a bit of a 'swiz' the guy responded yeah thats delta force for you'. Pretty shocking i must admit.
What would be the best way about pursuing this? We must've spent about £500 collectively on the day so if they want us to return in future they should refund it so we do it based on choice and not because they have £50 of our money.
Everything suggested money grabbing on the day like their 'upgraded paintball guns' which no one in our party could tell the difference for.
Thanks guys

Depends how it was booked I guess.
Did they say 'Its £25 per person'
Or did they say 'Its (for example) £400 for ten people.
These places often have different prices based on how many people go, so it might be £40 is 5 people go, £30 if 10 people go etc etc.0 -
What do the terms and conditions state that you agreed to?0

£25 per person, i don't believe we got a special deal as part of the 2 no shows being booked.
There are no terms and conditions on the booking page so we didn't see them but they have this in the FAQ's "What happens if a player does not turn up on the day and I have already paid for them?
All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. However, credits may be carried forward and used for a future booking." Not exactly well located, have only just seen this now.0 -
Was it organised online or via one of these selling booths they have in shopping centres etc?0

Was it just you guys all day, or were there other parties around?
They MAY have turned down others, saying they couldnt accommodate due to X amount of people coming on that date...0 -
Was via the phone through chilisauce
There must've been over 300 people there so they weren't turning anyone down.0 -
You have no right to a refund, the service was there for you to use whether you used it or not, they did not break the contract, in fact they don't even have to offer you a credit.
As it was a service in the entertainment industry DSR wouldn't apply either.0 -
If they did not turn up then that is not the fault of the paintball providers. You should ask the ones that did not turn up for the money.0
