KGB Not Honouring Voucher

We purchased a voucher from KGB Deals for a 2 night stay with meals with an expiry date March 31. When making the booking we were told that they were no longer accepting this voucher and I should go back to KGB for a refund. If you ever have a problem with KGB, trying to communicate or contact them is virtually impossible. Don't take my word for it a search on the internet reveals many customers ripped off by this company. When you do get a reply they make it very clear that customer service is of no importance whatsoever to them. They are unsympathetic and border on rudeness. They have made it clear that they have no intention of refunding any money or extending the voucher . KGB informed me that the Adelphi would not take the voucher which was not the case as when I spoke to the Adelphi directly they said they would accept the voucher but needed an agreement from KGB. On forwarding this information to KGB they yet again refused to honour the voucher. In short, they have taken £119 of my money for absolutely nothing at all.

Only asking as this is 11 days past expiry, when did you try and book the meal?

If its after the 31st, then you were too late. (and I only assume you were as you mention 'extending the voucher')
  • Thanks for your reply. I didn't explain it very well. I tried to book it mid March before it had expired and the hotel told me they were not accepting the voucher and to get refund from KGB. By the time I had emailed and waited for responses from KGB the voucher expired. There is no telephone contact on the KGB Website. They make it all very difficult to contact them. As I wasn't satisfied with the outcome from KGB I rang the hotel and they said they were happy to take the voucher if KGB extended as otherwise they would not receive any payment from them but KGB were not interested in doing so. I've contacted my credit card company who are opening an investigation. It's all very time consuming and I just wanted to warn people about KGB Deals. I had used the company so many times but I think you find out the true nature of a company when something goes wrong. I've had a few things go wrong with Groupon and LivingSocial but it has always been resolved in a professional and satisfactory manner. Neither can be said of KGB.
