Santander home insurance quote query

As a new holder of a Santander 123 current account I went online to get a quote for home insurance as they advertise a 30% discount for account holders. At no point in the form filling was I asked for proof that I have a 123 account. So how do they know I have one and can apply the discount ?

I expect they will just check their records

If they quoted you with the 30% discount who cares?
All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves.

    That's the thing.
    They have quoted a price.
I would have expected something like:
    Total price xxx
    Minus discount = xxx
Jewelly is probably right, they just check the records.

Don't be too impressed - Santander insurance is really bisl.

If you just want cheap try their other brands too (eg £50 less than renewal guarantee at post office plus cashback)

There's a reason why they are so cheap!

Did you click through an email they sent you or put in a certain code? That could afford the extra discount.

It could be that they can pick up automatically your acc status but I would not rely on that.

Maybe do a fake q as a new customer - real property details, cover requirements, postcode. You'll see if you are getting the proper discount.

If you have had a q from them and they have no idea that you are a 123 acc holder then ring and ask for your discount

I had no code to input.
I may try your suggestion and get another quote as a new customer.
BTW what does Bisl mean ?

    Budget Insurance Services Limited.

It maybe a good idea for you to google them as they have a reputation.
