Noddle Query.... account balances

Following on from my previous post, regarding Barclaycard querying when I did a soft search on their eligibility checker whether I was registered on the electoral roll, I took the advice of the lovely people given on here and set myself up a noodle account.
Firstly they say that I was registered on the electoral roll for this year on 17th February.
But I have just been having a look through the other details and I have another query.
The details for my Nationwide FlexDirect account is listed but it states that as of 12th March when the last update was done I had £0 balance. The rest of the time I have green OK circles. I know my balance on 12th March was over £1K in credit as I have just checked this. I never go overdrawn so don't have an overdraft. Does noodle only show overdrawn balances on bank accounts?
My gas and electric accounts both show as being in credit. Would it show if I had a negative balance as I pay over the year by monthly direct debit.
And yes, before someone starts harping on I realise all the guff about "credit scores being meaningless" blah, blah, blah. So please DO NOT POST anything on this thread related to that. That is not what interests me at all. I am just interested to know how the information in the account is reported as I am new to this credit file stuff.
Thanks.

The date of the update is usually the date either the CRA or the lender has updated the information on their system. It is not necessarily the date on which your account was reported. For example, XYZ bank may close their reporting date on 31st month and send that info to the CRA who get it on say 12th of the month. The CRA then carries out some checks and then puts it on your file on 20th but shows it as updated on 12th.
Bit confusing I know, but this is how it works.0 -
My bank account always reports as a 0 when I am not using an overdraft on the date of the update.
I believe that it is usual that a balance is only reported if you are overdrawn (I cannot say for certain this is how all banks report, but that is my understanding).A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Yes, it is reporting credit accounts, so only the overdraft of relevance. If you have cash in your account o/draft balance = 0.0

Ahhh. I see! Thanks for that.
Just curious then as to why it shows my gas and electric as having a credit balance and not my bank account which is always in credit.0 -
Yes correct. If in credit it won't show a balance, only an overdrawn balance.0
