excel formula help please

I'm faffing about with formula and not succeeding:(


What I would like to do in my excel spreadsheet is...


If, I put the number 1 in column D , I want the figure in column F to automatically be also shown in column H


Your help would be much appreciated

    In H1 put:

    =IF(D1=1,F1,"")

    copy down as required.

    I admit your formula did not work for me initially but that was my fault. The cell I was putting the number into was a 'text' cell, once I changed it to a 'number' cell all was well.


    You gave me the formula and it made me learn, and take note, of what I was doing. Thanks again.
