hey people.
ive never posted on here before but im really looking for some advice and my bf pointed me in the direction of here.
im looking to move out of my mums house because it isnt exactly working me living here as i have a young baby and my mum works full time etc.
i work 16 hours a week and get tax credits and child benefit.
i was just wondering if anyone can help me,how much will the council help me pay towards a private rented place as i would be waiting forever for a council place.im also a single mummy so would i get any reductions in my council tax.
any help would be greatly appreciated!!

It depends on how much your rent is, but working 16 hours a week you will probably get half the rent paid, and a little council tax benefit if any or none at all except for the 25%.

Its getting harder to rent nowadays as some landlords are asking for guarantors and 1 months deposit and another month in advance in rent.0 -
I know of landlords that actually prefer their tenants to be in receipt of housing benefits as the cheque gets paid directly to them.0
