Thanks so much for the replies guys, does set my mind at ease a bit.
Have to admit, I didn't read up on the current approaches to tackling these things before posting as I didn't realise anything had changed since I first got my parking charge notice. Have now read up a little more and feel a little better about it.

So, at this stage, what are the chances of being taken to court, CCJ's etc?

I worked it out the other day, you have a 99.4% of it not going to court. This is just another letter in the chain. Do Newlyn's mention they are bailiffs though?
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Do Newlyn's mention they are bailiffs though?

Wow, I like the sound of those odds.

No, checked the letter again and they only use the term "debt collectors". I used "bailiffs" in my naivety but I understand the difference now :)

Why not just search this forum for 'Newlyn 2012' and read all the other threads like yours from posters who have started threads about this tedious letter recently?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
