You really need to use your annual kWh usage, rather than from Sept to now, as that includes winter when you would presumably have heating on, and doesn't include the summer when you wouldn't.
If you've got night storage heaters then obviously you'll be using much more cheaper rate electricity in the winter than the summer. But if you know your annual kWh usage for both "day" and "night" rates then you should get a realistic comparison.

If their website keeps crashing on you and you can't get through by phone, then again, consider another supplier. Comparison sites only take a few minutes of your time.

Sorry from sept 2012 to 2013 a year. I read my meter weekly and am a very low user because I have to be....
Ive been comparing the unit prices as whether I use more or less of course the price is going to fluctuate that's dependant on the weather. The year before was a cold one this years a milder one, but its the actual unit prices that I look at which make the difference not how much ive used. From when I change to edf since sept 2013 to 24th March 2014 ive only used £264 for 6months. And these were actual meter readings. Ive had night storage heaters for 7years so I know that I need to be in credit through the summer...to counteract the winter months.

It's actually the combination of unit prices plus the standing charge that make up your total cost. With such low usage - amazingly low at £264 for 6 months including the winter, even if it was a mild one - the standing charge will have a considerable impact on your annual cost. Very few tariffs don't have a standing charge now, but I believe Ebico still don't charge one. Have you looked at their rates?

Yep and when I put my surname, account number and postcode in it replies Oops!!! There has been an error. This goes back to what ive already said...Its not working.... and hasn't been for a week....

It sounds like you have the incorrect userid and/or password.
It never will work until you get these corrected.
No one else is saying their website is down.

Give them a call. Yes you may have to wait a few minutes before you get to speak to someone, but it's a freefone number so they are paying for the call. :)

Or are you saying even the number you are calling doesn't get answered, even if by a robot? If so, you need to re-check the number - it's on their website.

Note they are only open Mon–Fri ~ 8am–8pm & Sat ~ 8am–2pm. This is also on their website.

Please use a comparison site, and input your anticipated annual consumption figures in kWh

My passwords fine, just getting fed up with hanging on the phone for 30 odd minutes. As for the annual usage, ive done all that but I dig a bit further and when you look at the day/night rate and daily charges of electric company tarrifs I uses those to compare against my old tarrif as it doesn't work out rocket science to know if each one has gone up by 1p or 2p etc its going to be dearer. I read my electric meter weekly and ive never once been in debt and if ive used more than I think I up the DD or stop using so much electric.....Or look for another tarrif - which I have and the day/night/daily charges are at the moment pence in them and the one that came out on top would save me £17 a year, but with a £30 get out clause. So that's not a saving..
Edited just to say ive used U switch, Go Compare and 4 other comparison sites over the last few weeks and none have come out much cheaper. I know how much my storage heaters usein electric (down to how much each one costs individually) and also how much electric I use when there switched off as they are now. Luckily im a very low user and my electric bill this year will be under £500 as at the moment I am in credit..
