UKPC Appeal rejected now demanding £120!!

I am hoping someone can I help before I cave and agree to a payment plan!
I have two parking tickets received 4 weeks apart whilst taking my mother for oncology appointments - the first one I had unknowingly parked in a no parking area the second they say my ticket wasn't displayed correctly.
I appealed both by email and heard nothing - today I received a debt recovery letter for one & have been told to expect another!
They say they sent me three letters which I have not received.
Is there anything I can do or should I just accept a payment plan?

Thanks in advance

did you read the NEWBIES sticky thread at the top of this forum ?

if not , why not ?

assuming you are in england or wales for below -

once you have read it, seeing as you appealed to this PPC and didnt hear from the PPC and now its with debt collectors , consider these points

    1) what does the NEWBIES thread tell you to do with debt collector letters ?

    2) what does it tell you to do in post #6 as regards this breach of BPA CoP ?

    3) what does it say about communicating with the landowner ?

    now do them

ps:- UKPC are not asking for this amount , it will be their debt collectors , as the BPA use a maximum of £100 as "reasonable"

you never mentioned the debt collectors name though, although you will likely get debt letters from more than one if you ignore them , but you do not have to pay them one penny as your dispute is with UKPC , or ultimately the landowner

UKPC are toothless scammers, don't worry about them or their pretend threats,or their useless debt recovery letters.

You are joking, right? You've posted this on a forum with a sticky thread telling your options, which do not include any stupid payment plan. And another sticky thread at the top, collated by Crabman just under the NEWBIES thread, tells you about successfully complaining to PALS or the Facilities Manager at a Hospital. You seem to have missed the sticky threads and just posted.

To emphasise the above, UKPC ARE TOOTHLESS. They NEVER do anything beyond sending a few stupid letters so don't even THINK of paying them.

    Fight back by

    (i) Complaining like mad to the hospital, as suggested by C-M
(ii) Writing to DVLA and BPA complaining the UKPC are flouting the latest guidance on issuing PoPLA codes by ignoring your appeal
(iii) You could also write to UKPC putting them on notice that since they are putting you to unnecessary trouble by choosing to ignore the Code of Practice to which they have committed, any further letters you feel obliged to write to them or their agents will be chargeable to UKPC at £100 per letter. If they prefer not to incur such charges their options are (a) cancel the charges or (b) send you a PoPLA code for each one. Any other communication (directly or indirectly) will signify their acceptance of these terms.

  • i received a parking ticket for not parking correctly in a bay, After making an appeal, i received no reply. Than UKPC sent me a letter demanding £150.00. I called and complained that i had not received a response for my appeal and was told that they had forwarded my case to UKPC Dbt collectors. They are unwilling to talk and threatened me to take me to court. i explained that i had not received any letters and they said well you have to prove that in court. Please help as i feel i am being stitched up by both the issuing party and the debt collectors

zubisilver - you need to read the NEWBIES thread at the top of the forum and then use the New Thread button to start your own thread.

It starts getting messy if several people use the same thread to get help and advice.

Well it won't be ukpc going to court unless you take them there! As for proving you didn't get something in the mail, well that is impossible, but on the balance of probabilities having 3 letters not being delivered means they were probably not semt!

This company has a track record of ignoring appeals, and not sending out letters, so complain to the nhs trust, complain to the bpa and complain to the dvla. And ask the dvla when ukpc got the RK details from them, once they rey, go back to ukpc and ask them when those letters were sent, they could stitch themselves up .
