Hi,
Hoping for some advice! We've got to move some plants this weekend as we're rebuilding a wall, and I have no idea what to do. They will eventually be replaced back in similar-ish positions in a couple of weeks. They are:
Bruce the Forsythia
a couple of flowering currant bushes
a bleeding heart
some strawberries
a fushia that refuses to die
some bulbs (bluebells and daffs)
A hellibore
Any advice on what to do??
Thanks in advance
xLV

If it is just weeks, you could try lifting the shrubs and perennials with maximum rootball and wrap in hessian. Keep in cool shade, well watered then replant ASAP.
The bulbs I'd just stick in anywhere until the foliage has died back then replant where wanted0 -
Some of the smaller items you could transplant into coir plant pots. Afterwards the plant is replanted into the ground with the coir pot which then breaks down in the soil.0

Be careful with the bleeding heart. They have thick, fleshy stems (or possibly roots) that snap quite easily.
Hellebores don't like being moved. In particular, don't be tempted to divide them up into tiny pieces. They don't like that.0 -
Thanks all - I appreciate the tips.0
