Hey there fellow DFWS I am pleased to say that I am on my way to being debt free.
As of today I consolidated all of my £3724.00 debts into a flexi loan. The reason I am happy about this is that ive been trying for years to get a loan to sort out my debts and ive not been accepted until now, and its a decent rate. Although technically im not out of debt I do feel alot lighter and happier about my debts as they will now be easier to manage. Instead of paying individual minimum payments and interests to each company im now only gonna be paying one apr on the one amount and one minumum payment with the option to pay more on top. All of the money I will be saving by not paying all the extra interest, I will be saving it towards moving out of my parents by the end of this year.
Measures I have taken to become debt free.
- Closed all of my catalogue and credit card accounts to prevent getting into more debt in future saving loads.
- Cancelled my phone insurance (£10 pcm saving)
- Will cancel gym in august (£40 pcm saving)
- Will move to a different moby network in january (currently £50 pcm)
Originally was paying in total 170% apr in total interest
(each company i owed was about 20-30% apr each)
Now with debt consolidation the total apr is 18% saving untold cash!!
Hoping to be debt free soon!!!

Since posting earlier today I have:
- walked to the shop instead of taking the car
- took small amount of cash only with me so I couldn't buy stuff I didn't need
- started off a batch of home-made yoghurt
