As added protection, I used to let Nationwide know when I was going to use my card overseas so as to minimise fraud, but they have now told me that they now no longer want to know as they monitor the card's use frequently. Surely this is a backward step in preventing fraud and ID theft?

It does make you wonder, doesn't it? I remember being advised to let the bank or credit card company know.Don't lie, thieve, cheat or steal. The Government do not like the competition.
