We have 4 XP computers on a network. We used to have a server andthese were all set up on a domain. Server packed in a couple of years ago and we have been functioning fine without it. I moved all files onto one existing computer. 2 computers needed XP reinstalling.I did this on one computer; the other (my computer) is also acting as server so I not done this yet. Could'nt connect the computer with the new install of XP onto the domain and any investigation I made suggested that there as a problem with doing this without a computer running windows server. So I decided to try and change to a workgroup. Set up a workgroup on my computer. It had to reboot, and now I can't access it. It doesn't recognise my username/password!
I've tried the following methods
1. username
2. [computer name]\username
3. [domain name]\username
4. [workgroup name]\username
None of these work
Any ideas for resolving this?
Thanks

Have you tried going into Safe Mode and using the Administrator account to delete/change your password ?
I assume you are trying to login to windows.0

Again, from Safe Mode, from the Options list, try the Last Known Good Configuration option.0
