Ombudsman's decision.

I claimed for mis sold ppi to my bank using the templates from Martin's site in July 2011 and they refused. This took almost six months. I immediately sent my claim to the Ombudsman in January 2012 who finally decided in my favour in January 2013 and said it could take up to eighteen months to settle. They told my bank who still disputed my claim! I again contacted the ombudsman last week and they had no more news for me. I know they're busy with claims but how long is reasonable to have to wait and can the bank just continue to say no?

There are not many ombudsman and it takes a long time. A good few years is the normI am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0
