Car From Garage - Problems 5 months later!

We bought a 2009 fiesta from a approved ford dealer on 1st November 2013.

In the last month or so the brakes are constantly squeaking, there's a knocking noise coming from the front left brake, the cd player has stopped working and a vent for the air con has fallen from under the dash.

Not too sure where we stand with this, have spoken to the garage but because it's out of the 3 months warranty they won't do anything.

Any help would be appreciated!

I think you stand in the place of someone who is going to have to pay for things that have worn out on their car 6 months after they bought it, I'm afraid.

These don't sound like faults present when you bought the car and if they warrant everything, including wear and tear, for three months, then you are too late.
  • Pads do tend squeak when theres pad dust build up, and their nearing their end of life, its kind audiable warning to have them cleaned, inspected or changed.

a vent duct pipe or aircon pipe from under the dash coming loose maybe from someone who's kicking their feet up under the dash when they get in or out, or stuffing shopping bags or kit bags in the foot well, not a difficult thing to fix, perhaps a plastic clip has come loose or snapped and requires a zip tie to hold it back on. cd player stopped working? as in not playing cd's but works otherwise, or not coming on at all. if you can easily insert a disc and no noise clicking or scratching sounds, then try a lense cleaner disc (for CD'S not DVD). if it wont work after this, then make sure you have the radio code, find the fuse for the stereo pull it out wait 5 mins and reinsert, this starts a reset process for the cd stereo system, enter code try again, if no luck a refurbishers shouldn't charge to much to repair.

knocking from front brake, you sure its the brake? knocking sounds usually mean a link arm or tack or wishbone ball joint has worn out needing replacing.

more or less its had 5 years of wear and that's only what you describe to me.
