PPI Midland bank 2006 can I claim?

Hi, I took a mortgage out with the Midland Bank back in 2006. I THINK I had PPI I certainly had some sort of cover. I lost my job a few months after and they wouldnt pay me anything towards the mortgage repayments. This in itself wasnt a long term problem as I got another job, it was just very annoying. I think I then cancelled the policy as I thought there was no point as it didnt do what it said it would. I have moved house several times since and have no idea where the paperwork is. Does it sound like I have a claim? Do I need to have the policy number and original paperwork? I appreciate any advice. Many thanks

Midland bank didnt exist in 2006. Do you mean further back than that?

Most MPPi plans have a minimum qualifying period after taking out the plan. Typically 6 months. This is to prevent people taking policies out where they know there will be redundancies.

Does it sound like I have a claim?

oops! what planet am I on...meant 1996!! derr! yes it was probably about 5 months afterwards that I lost the job.
