Online Hmrc tax return ?

Ive submitted my tax return for self employment for the year ending 2013/2014,

I noticed it says received on: 6th April

What does the 'submitted on:' mean??

There currently is no date in the field but when it shows, does that mean it has been 'transfered' my my account??

Also, how long will it take from the date is says 'submitted on' whatever that means..

Still says due date: 7th april. repayment pending

Hi


It means your repayment is pending approval and when this has been issued it will state issued and will then normally go in your bank next day if you requested bank payment.

Do all payments pend approval? Before ive received it within 5 days.

It's not unusual for HMRC to take up to 4 weeks to review and a further week to refund.

With such high volumes of tax returns being submitted & all public walk in centres closing by the end of June, patience is recommended.

Yes I think 5 days is the norm but any longer it may be selected for security check or something very simple.


4 week turnaround is for spot checks on cis or income etc.


In the top corner it will show a date your file was updated by HMRC It may be issued but wont show till monday

Hi all
I've done mine on the 6th payment pending started on the 8 of April and still pending.
This is the second time it takes longer to get it to bank account. It is usually a quick process. The 1st time it took 20 days to get money. After that it was 5 days and now again takes longer. Just when you expect that money to be used it does not come. I do not understand these security checks though.
OK in the 1st time but what is the point if every year that same person makes the SA online with the unique password and user Id?
I check the website a couple of times a day to see the PENDING changing to ISSUED. so far no hope.
Might be tomorrow might take a month. Who knows?
