Do you deduct pension contributions when working out the final income for last year? My husband pays £106 a month into his pension direct from his wages, can we deduct this amount from his gross pay when we give the figures to the tax credits renewal people?

depends when your pension payments were deducted , were your husbands pension payments deducted before tax & NI ? ( gross wages/taxable pay ) , if so your husbands p60 will show this!! .
If your husbands pension payments were deducted after tax & NI ( net wages ) was deducted your husbands p60 will not show this!! , your husband will get a yearly pension statement from the pension provider and in that case your husband or you should deduct the yearly pension contributions gross figure ( which includes tax relief ) , but do not include the figure that your husbands employer has contributed to your husbands pension . so your husband needs to deduct the gross pension contributions from his p60 figure because it won't show pension payments .
hope this helps , someone will be along later to help , or correct me if im wrong .0
