Look at the information for sellers PDF file for details of how it works (the link to the one for buyers isn't working).

When we sold through them we refused to join the scheme so our house wasn't marketed as having a £1,000 buyers incentive available. I think my response to the valuer was, "I'm not paying to market your in-house services and I'd rather my buyer had a decent local solicitor anyway."
