claim on insurance

morning all,3years ago my wife had a bump in my car which the other driver claimed on.the car was insured in my name and my wife was a named driver on the insurance .my question is when looking for new insurance they ask if you have made any claims do I lose m,y no claim or does it go against my wife ?

    If the claim was against your policy then you have to declare it.

    My partner was just in the same situation. Her dad had an accident in her car whilst driving as a named driver. When she renewed this year she had to declare it.

    Your insurer would have told you how much NCB you lost, and your current renewal will tell you how many years you have now.

    You declare a claim against your policy, due to an at-fault collision with your wife as the driver.
