    Hi everyone,

Judi, in actual fact it's been proved that the longer you breastfeed the more protection you get from breast cancer, mind you it didn't stop me from developing a pre-cancerous condition and I fed for a total of 2 years.

I've got a course this evening on inserting zips. It's something I really struggle with so I'm hoping to master them tonight. I was a bit worried I'd have to take my machine with me which meant that I'd have to drive, but they are providing one so I can go by train, big relief.

I need to go grocery shopping this morning. I want to make some cakes for DS and GF as an early Easter treat because I won't see them next week.

I went into my old workplace yesterday, I am so glad I'm not there anymore. Apparently the person (a member of the public, not staff) who did his best to make my life and that of my predecessor a misery is now holding me up as a paragon! He's still doing what he always did though.

    Hope DD's ok Hester.

    Have a good day.

    Morning all,

Best laid plans and all that. Had a leisurely morning in mind and then my WW meeting at 10. Unfortunately the alternator decided to go on hubby's car at 8.30. Cue me going to collect him, a mad dash shower and a longish journey to drop him at his first job, oh hum. Will have to go next week instead. Determined to have a good week.
Sorted the menu for Saturday night. Low fat Onion bhajis to start, Thai green chicken curry and then chocolate tart from the weight watchers mag for pud. The tart and curry can be done Friday so should be nice and easy.
Our bathroom is coming on a treat, but we currently only have an old curtain to hide our modesty while he panels round the door.
I'm cross with ds3 this morning. Granted he is full of a cold but should have gone to a revision session at 9 this morning. Gf was here until late and so he couldn't get up. From now on Iwill be chucking her out the door at ten:mad:
Not much else happening, will pop back later.
Hugs for Molly and JackieO hope your both doing well x

Hug to Molly and jackieO and hope they are feeling a bit better.

Managed to order DH 's prescription online this morning, load up dishwasher and make a big pot of potato and leek soup with a gammon joint in it for stock.

Have some leek and cheese pasties left from yesterday which turned out really well and will do for lunch or a pack up. Chicken breast fillets defrosting and planning chicken cordon bleu with low cal chips and veg or salad for tonight.

DH went to a farmers market yesterday and came back wirh six chickens- Maran and Bluebell which are point of lay. He had not mentioned getting them as he thought I would be against it so the look of guilt on his face as he tried to smuggle them in was hilarious. The relief on his face when I said I was glad he had an extra hobby and looked forward to the eggs was sweet.

    Hugs to all.

I also heard that the more children you have, the less likely you are to develop breast cancer. I gave birth to a total of 6. Fed all of them for the first few weeks of life. If that doesn't account for something then I don't know what does.

Just got home from visiting Mom. She was fast asleep when I got there. Its really difficult trying to hold a conversation with someone with dementia.... however, though there were definite gaps in her memory, we didn't do too bad.

I'm now well and truly knackered.:(

    Morning everyone,

Bitsy DS is off pretending to do experiments in the garage. That sounds a little scary!

It's mostly in his head and using cardboard tubes and safe items like that, no chemicals or anything. Although he's asked for a lab coat so I am sure it's only a matter of time

    Afternoon all,

Wow Judi, six kids! You had your hands full didn't you?!

It's been another sunny day here, sun is disappearing though as I type.
Washing dried and put away. Went into town as I needed to do some banking, get a new accounts book for the new tax year (dreading the SA soon) and picked up a new duvet set from TKMaxx.

Not much planned for the rest of the afternoon, going to finish reading my book I hope.

HM ham and pineapple pizza for tea with HM coleslaw and spud salad.

First one died when she was still a baby but still, 5 was a handful. When I had my youngest, my eldest was in his final year of school.

The things I miss.... all of them being under my wing.... What I don't miss.... the stew pan full of potatoes just for one meal.:(

I was at my limit at 5. I couldn't have coped with any more and I doubt if my womb would have coped either.
