Popla / parking eye victory

I post this here as encouragement for anyone who needs it.
Got a fine from Parking Eye back in December last year because I dared to use the entrance that was shared between The Royal Free Hospital in North London and Bartrums Convent. I was there to buy furniture from the convent and used the nuns own car park. I had receipts of purchase from the convent and a letter signed by no less than five nuns that stated I had only used their parking. Did Parking Eye accept this? Not a chance. With implacable Soviet era stupidity they kept sending me letters which simply stated that my car 'had been photographed'. Never mind the fact that the convent and it's car park predated the Royal Free and its car park and there was in place an agreement for convent visitors to come and go freely without being busted by Parking Eye.
Using advice on these forums I eventually managed to get a POPLA appeal number. Reading other forums I did wonder whether POPLA was simply a front for Cowboy Car Parking firms and was kind of expecting a kick back despite all the proofs I had.
Anyway, POPLA upheld my side and I got a letter today, well over four months later, from PE saying that the charge was cancelled.
It was quite a lot of hassle but it was a principle kind of thing.
All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. Edmund Burke Irish orator, philosopher, & politician (1729 - 1797).
...Not that I'm calling myself a particularly good man. But I'm not dumb or greedy.

Congratulations goldchurch - well done.
Did Parking Prankster ever hear of your case - I'm wondering if he may be interested given that the ANPR cameras are taking images of cars not actually going to the premises the cameras are supposed to be monitoring.0 -
Excellent - Well done!
