Hi
I' plan to buy 3 year old arbarth fiat tomorrow from a fiat dealership. It costs 11000. I plan on putting down 4000 deposit which will mean payments of 115 a month for 4 years if I get I to lease I will have the option to buy. It will only be another 1000 or so left to pay so I plan on paying that at the end of the 4 years. I have never bought a car for this much money or from a dealership. Is there any advice members could give as to what to look out for regarding paperwork etc, how to get a reduced price or extras? Any advice gratefully accepted I'm a complete novice at this and worry about being seen coming so to speak
Thanks ...

Check the figures BEFORE you sign. What APR are they giving you? Can you get a loan cheaper?
Are you sure the final fee is only £1000? Your a few thousand short before adding interest.
See what price other dealers have similar cars for.
Finance on a cars thats going to be 7 years old is a bit much in my opinion.
As its a used car what extras do you want? A full tank of fuel?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Just get a loan for £7k and buy the car- unless they can do cheaper apr.0

Which Arbarth? That price looks awfully high.0

Is it this one?

If it is, I wonder why it's done fewer that 8000 miles in three years?0 -
If it is the one above it can be bought for £10,200 new (by the looks)

Do not take this the wrong way, but budget in for a lot of maintenance and I mean a lot, including clutch failures and very random electrical faults and at least one new coil pack a year.
As cars go, not the best choice, it will haemorrhage its value in the first two years so Gap insurance a must.Be happy...;)0 -

Really? I don't know anyone who has experienced that.
OP - if you have questions about Abarth's pop over here and ask the owners - http://www.abarthforum.co.uk/0 -
