Barclays Loan PPI success

I have used the website for every major financial decision i have made in the last few years and i just wanted to shared my experience and i hope it helps other MSE users.
I had a Barclays loan in 2001 which was rolled into another Barclays loan in 2002, the loan was meant to be paid over 7 years and i remember the lady saying i should get PPI as a protection, i did and got the loan. The loan was paid off in 2005.
I was going through old paperwork having moved and found a letter showing I had PPI on the first loan which i was not even aware off until 3 weeks ago.
I spent days going through other MSE PPI experiences and decided to put in a PPI claim for the first and gather info on the second loan, which was really easy to do online on the barclays website.
I received a letter today saying they have 'uphold' both claims and 6000+ was paid into my account.
first was : the policy was not suitable for you due to the existing provison should your circumstances have changed (my employer would have paid me for 6 months if unwell)
Second was: you were not provided with enough information to make an informed decision about the purchase of the PPI policy ( i was aware that i was getting PPI but not that i was getting an additional loan to pay for the PPI and interest was also applied- the PPI was sold as an additional premium loan)
I know this is a long one but i really wanted to share my experience with the forum and i hope it helps someone, I have learnt a lot from you all.
Thanks for your time.

Well done. It's always worth putting in a claim.0
