VIP event in Foundation Covent Garden, with Made in Chelsea cast - Scam?

Hi
Has anyone heard anything about a VIP event being held in Foundation club in Covent Garden on Sunday 20th April 2014? Apparently it's a Made In Chelsea Easter Sunday Party.
A young friend has been contacted on Twitter and told she has made it through to the second stage of the "Angel recruitment process ", even though she hasn't applied or been through any first stage!
"The role of the angels is of course taking part in photo shoots, but also there is a lot of event work, mainly celebrity parties. For this reason, We always hold the second stage of the recruitment process at a celebrity event. Sunday April 20th is a Made in Chelsea event.... " and it goes on to mention MIC characters that will be there.
I told her to be careful, that it could be a scam, but she seems happy that it's not, and when I said to Google them and ask questions, she said that the friend she takes just has to pay £14 entry and that's it.
Has anyone any idea or heard anything about this?
Thanks

Why are you posting this in the Going out deals forum if you think it might be a scam?0
-
To check if anyone knows if it's a scam or not as I'm worried about my friend... why else?
I scanned the forum titles and didn't see one called scams or possible scams...
Are you berating me? Because it certainly seems so!0 -
perhaps rather than berating you, pogofish could be trying to inform you that in the wrong section you are likely to get less responses.0

Have a look at this thread from the GiffGaff forum:
http://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Social-General-Discussion/Aquila-at-Proud-Camden-Scam-or-not/td-p/8768258
There's a link to an MSE thread on there.
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4476841
The last commenter on that thread said 'I know about 20 different people that have won this "prize" its just a stunt to get their club filled up! They do just randomly tweet people to say they have won, Sorry for the bad news but really its a con xx'
This article from a website called Internet Cons should make your mind up though:
http://internetcons.wordpress.com/2013/10/12/aquila-events-london-doppelgangers-and-siren-songs/
That article shows that the competitions that Aquila London were running were merely scams designed to fill their club nights with gullible people who then went on to spend a lot of money. Unfortunately for them they got found out so as well as having to host their shoddy events in another nightclub they've had to find a new angle on their scam, in this case a 'celebrity' photoshoot.
As well as the £14 entrance fee gullible marks will have to buy drinks at extortionate London prices so you can add another eighty quid to that. The photos will just be some bloke wandering around with a camera taking snaps, as in many nightclubs up and down the country. These will have to be paid for and they won't be cheap.
At best it's misleading marketing but most people would say it's an out-and-out scam organised by pondlife.
I have given Aquila-london.com an untrustworthy rating with a back up comment on Web of Trust.
