Gadget Insurance for Traveller?

I'm going for a year abroad working in Australia, but have been struggling to find insurance for my laptop and mobile phone, which I'll be taking with me.

I already have insurance covering medical etc. however it doesn't extend to gadgets and all the insurers I've looked at only seem to cover internationally for up to 90 days.

Could anyone advise what my best options would be?

Just google for it. There are worldwide gadget type policies.

There are also Travel Insurances where you can increase the personal effects cover. PJ Hayman are specialist brokers, who can tailor coverage at a price.
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.
