I have tried, oh how I have tried!! to get a credit cleanup done, all were fine except interestingly enough Barclaycard which will not change an entry from default to satisfied, the problem seems to be that it was an egg card which was taken over by barclaycard..........
but to Barclays bank, no, they were never a creditor

    That's fantastic news.

I had my appointment last Wednesday. Received a text on Thursday saying account was set up. Confirmation letter, cheque book and pin number arrived on Saturday. The card itself arrived this morning.

The bank have also linked my business account with my personal one for online banking. So I now have two tabs, business and personal and only have to log in once.

Good luck this Wednesday, keep us posted.

I have not used this company myself, but I have read good things about them.

"It does nearly everything but accept and issue cheques. You’ll be able to invoice clients in your business’ name, with your business name also being displayed on the Business MasterCard® that comes with the account.
You’ll be able to send and receive bank transfers, pay in cash at over 13,000 locations across the UK and set up Standing Orders & Direct Debits.
As with any High Street business bank account, you’ll be able to manage your business account online."
I post on the board with my phone and auto-correct can make me look like a damn fool!:o

I opened a cash plus business account just over a year ago when no one else would touch me. It's ok if you only need online banking, bank transfers etc. no good if you need to use cheques or cash.

However for my line of work I'm generally paid by bacs by companies.

Was a real lifesaver but eventually got a business account opened by rbos which I use for day to day stuff. Some of the customers still use the cash plus account to pay me though.

...To add to the advice above.

'Card One Banking' is another card based business account. Their fees are a little higher than 'Cash Plus', but they do allow cheque transactions.

Both are worthy of consideration if you are having no luck on the high street.
  • just a quick heads up barclays opened business account card cheque book and a credit card lol

But way to go you.
