Reasonably Priced Primer

Options
I am looking a new primer as even though I want to buy the Smashbox one with brilliant reviews, currently my budget won't stretch to it!

Can anyone recommend a good one for under £10? My sky is combination, in that I get dry patches but my forehead is oily.

Thanks!

I like Maybelline Baby skin- really silky feel
  • When money is really tight I go for either of these two:

MUA Undress Your Skin Flawless Primer

    or

    Make Up Academy Professional Primer

The top one's sold out online, but if you have a biggish Superdrug in your town you'll find it in there. I have really sensitive skin, so have to be cautious about what I use, and haven't had any problems with either of these!

laura geller spackle, original or ethereal (check ebay as can be cheaper if people are selling unwanted ones that came in a TSV kit) & avon magix are my favourites. i've got the elf eye primer which is very good, haven't used their face one though.
  • L'oreal studio secrets you can get cheap on Ebay

or even cheaper the mua one- it's ok not a good as the other one

Those MUA ones are fabby, in fact I've been impressed by all the MUA primers (they had a lot on sale the other month).........as an aside, I've been impressed by their foundation too but their BB cream and concealers were a bit rubbish

As is the maybelline baby skin, but the MUA ones are cheaper

  • Oh lord, I really should pay more attention.

I was about to suggest B&Q own brand... then realised I'm on the Health and Beauty board, not the DIY board.

To be fair, B&Q filler would probably be a great primer on my face ;)

If you like Smashbox then I've heard that a very good imitation is......wait for it.......Lanacane Anti-chaffing gel. Sometimes they have it in the pound shops. I've just had a quick google and as soon as I typed "Anti chaf" it autofilled to "Antichaffing gel used as a primer" - as least I know I haven't dreamt it! Only £6.65 in Boots - must be worth a shot.

Might give that a bash. I use the stuff on my feet when I wear new shoes
