I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop with Windows 8 and the cursor is white. It's almost impossible to see and I need to change it to black or something dark.
How do I get into the right system to do this?

There's probably a better way to do this but:
Go to the desktop, open windows explorer (yellow folder icon, bottom left corner)
In the address bar (where it currently says) "This PC" type "Control Panel" without the quotes
Click "Hardware and Sound", then under the "Devices and Printers" heading, click "Mouse"
Go to the "Pointers" tab
Under the "Scheme" setting, you can choose from a variety of different mouse pointer designs. "Windows Black" is probably the one you want.0 -
As Lum says or, Slightly simpler if on 8.1...Bottom left - Right click - Control Panel - Hardware and Sound (if in categories) - Devices and Printers - Mouse - pointers tab - Scheme........Options galore for you...Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

Thanks for that.
I run a Start Menu replacement, so never thought of getting to it via that route.0
