How much warranty do I have?

Just got it and it has not gone wrong, but I was a bit concerned when they sent a one year warranty cert for a laptop that I thought I bought with a 2 year warranty.
On checking the page I can see 2 year warranty in big letters and one year in little letters.

Did I get done?
I expect I have a couple of years courtesy of the EU anyway.

The EU thing is pretty irrelevant as SOGA gives you more than what they would.
I must say though I don't understand the wording of '2 year pick up and return for 1 year HP warranty' So I guess the meaning of that is whats in question, looks like its 2 years to me, maybe its like an extra boost for the 1 year that comes automatically, a bit like how Applecare works (gives you three years, but actually onle 2 on top of a standard 1 :S ?)0 -
I read it as a 2nd year free p/collect warranty in addition to the first year it comes with by default...0

I had heard something about 2 years from the eu, so googled it, "EU Directive 1999/44/EC states that all European Union member states must allow consumers to make a claim for faulty or misdescribed goods under their consumer rights for a minimum of two years. English law already allows you to make a claim for up to six years from the date you bought the goods and for up to five years in Scotland. Therefore if you buy any goods from any other EU member state, you can assume that you can make a claim for faulty or misdescribed goods for at least two years after."
As earlier poster says it is irrelevant as UK gives 6 years.
I have asked HP maybe they will reply...0
