If you're talking of London, buy a Thames Clipper river roamer (£16.50) for unlimited travel for the day on the Clippers (You wont get a commentary though).
If you've got valid train tickets you can get 2 for the price of one with the offer below
(If you come back confirming you're talking of London I can expand further....)
yes i live in Hendon NW9 and if possible with commentary as i to have forgotten names of famous sight in London
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

City Cruises boats have commentaries - you can get a daily Red Rover hop-on hop-off ticket for them too if you want to make a day of it. I don't think they go as far up and down the river as the Clippers though (with the clippers you can get all the way from Woolwich to Vauxhall by using the Tate-to-Tate service - I think the city cruises only cover Westminster to Greenwich)
You can also get 2-4-1 tickets for these using train tickets, but only on restricted dates (e.g. not over the Easter holiday period)
