Ombudsman, rbs

Since October last year rbs forgot to change the date my mortgage came out, resulting in a mark on my credit file. Got an apology some money and told it will not happen again and November came and yes it happened again, they first blamed me but then said it was a computer error that two direct debits were set up at the same time. At this point I had no money in the bank as it was near Christmas, have 3 children and a foster child. The told me that we can pay this month up and will not affect our credit file and it has. Ombudsman are asking for phone call evidence, I phoned rbs around twenty times, only the last month I had taken down whom I spoke with. If I can't give the information they can't help.
Feel like I'm stuck doing this on my own, so stressed and have inflammation to my chest wall due to the stress that they have caused.
Our finances are really bad at the moment as my husband had a fall at his work last year and his work made him redundant, asked bank at the time for help, they declined and so have credit cards.:(

    Hi

When you say they forgot to change the mortgage payment date - what is the reason is was being changed in October?
The told me that we can pay this month up and will not affect our credit file and it has.
So have you got back in touch with the mortgage provider to remind them of this and ask them to remove the late payment marker? or did you just complain straight to the FOS at this point?
