check your credit report, but be aware your MPPI may not have been with whoever you had the mortgage with.
MPI has a low complaint success rate because it's a necessary [for the most part and for most people] thing.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
How did you buy the mortgage? If it was via a mortgage broker or financial adviser then most of those were no regulated prior to Jan 2005 and dont need to consider complaints made on pre 2005 sales.
Even if you find out who the lender is, if you didnt by the MPPi via them, they wouldn't know. it also wouldnt appear on mortgage documents as MPPI is a standalone product (no lender has sold single premium MPPI).I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). yes my ppi was all part of the mortgage, as far as im aware, and as for being regulated my mortgage started in august 05 so as far as i'm aware they should have been regulated by then if it was a broker, i'm just trying to find out who the mortgage was with0

Can you explain how it was part of your mortgage as that is not how MPPI normally works. MPPI is normally a standalone plan paid by direct debit from your current account. That is one of the reasons why most MPPI complaints failas for being regulated my mortgage started in august 05 so as far as i'm aware they should have been regulated by then if it was a broker,
Date of application for the PPI is the key date. Not the date it started or the period you had it or when the mortgage transferred. The PPI and the mortgage are two different things and not linked explicitly.i'm just trying to find out who the mortgage was with
Why? You dont need to know who the lender is if you used a broker.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
