Ok, broke my saving money rule at lunchtime - spent £3.84 in Aldi but £1.48 was on easter treats for a lady who is struggling and has a young son; then also spent £6.55 in Quality Save, which including £4.99 on a Monsters University nightlight for my little boy (he's night time toilet training and they're £15 in Argos!) and the rest was on more easter treats for the same lady.
So really I just bought an aubergine, tomatoes, chick peas and mushrooms to make one pot meals over the next couple of days!0 -
Hello,
Haven't posted in this before but:
I attempted to refill my printer ink cartridge by injecting ink into it. It still doesn't work, but I can vouch for the permanence of the pigment; I have stripes on my hands like a zebra-human hybrid.
I have 'upgraded' my mob phone from £48 per month and rising, to Sim only £16.

Hehe! Your printer ink escapades made me giggle
Another 24 hour shift and then a full day teaching tomorrow, and then another 24 hour shift. Woop woop! At least I won't have any time to spend any money

Good days and then the not so good
Focus on the good - you started posting and have admitted your not so good day. We all have them
We just need to make the balance right (I definitely need to do that).
Best wishes and keep posting x0 -
Oooh, you're early into action this morning, Ziggy. Hope your cold improves....& can't you just depend on totm to rock up when you're already feeling rubbish?! :-/
*My 'Use it up' campaign still ongoing. Currently using up oddments of room scenting stuff that's been chucked in a drawer rather than start new things, using up a herbal supplement I bought as a tincture before buying it in more palatable tablet form, still using weird lip gloss to get rid of it & am on 3rd use of 'empty' hair conditioner bottle after just adding a bit of water to it & shaking it up. It's good not to feel so wasteful, just throwing stuff away. There IS no 'away', is there, just landfill, which is over full with all our cr*p already, as well as polluting. I'm finding it really satisfying doing 'Use it up'!
OK, must start on above list.

Felt much better as the day went on, think some of it might have been nerves with starting physio/rehab but I really enjoyed and am looking forward to getting back to being more active. Was a bit tired so had a little lie down when I got home but I think thats only to be expected as done no form of exercise for weeks/months.
I too am loving the using up, and the "boys" (hubby and son) are doing their bit too and using up before starting new so glad to see its rubbing off on them too. My crafting has also been a case of using up recently too so feeling pleased all round. My lipstick is close to the end now so I need to dig out my lip brush to get the last bits

How can you get on here so early Ziggy - particularly when you're feeling rotten? :grouphug: - from all of us!!
I'm up about 7 to get son ready for school and had to be at physio for 9am, unfortunately its not close to where I live, I dont have car (hubby has it for work), not on an easy bus route either and because of health restrictions I had to get a taxi but luckily I got talking to a gent in the group and he gave me a lift home as he lives near me - so that was lovely and everyone was so welcoming that although I was the youngest by at least 15 years it didnt feel too awkward but am deteremined to continue andtake advantage of all opportunities that come my way.Goodreads 2025 Challenge :16/75
