Electoral Role Query

in Credit cards
Hi,
I am currently staying with some friends who have good credit ratings. I want to transfer credit card and overdraft debt onto a 0% card. The eligibility test says the credit bureau cannot find my details even though I have changed my bank account details.
1) Do I have to register here on the electoral role for the credit bureau to know who I am?
2) How will my credit rating effect my friend's whose home it is, if I am on the electoral role and if I apply for the balance transfer card?
Thanks for your help,
Viclar

Yes you need to be registered on the electoral roll. If you register now you should appear on there by May 1st.
Your application won't affect your friend's at all as credit is personal unless you have any shared financial responsibilities (mortgage, joint bank account etc).0 -
Thank you, I'll get on with registering!0

If you apply by this Friday then you'll be on the council register by 1 May (you'll also be eligible to vote on the 22nd May).
But it may take another month or slightly more for this to be reflected on your credit files.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
