Is Electric Cheaper At Night Time

Im moving to a new property and I think Im on an economy 7 tariff with EDF and prepay payment charge key. So I have these old storage heaters but I want to remove the storage heater from the living room wall so my sofa meets the wall.
1 I have rate 1 19.2 pence per kwh and rate 2 7.23 pence per kwh showing on display on the meter so I guess day and night rate, is this rate only for the storage heaters.
2 Does everyone in this country pay less for electricity at Night.

The cheaper tariff will be for all electricity supplied during the night time period (check with your supplier for exact details of when it starts/finishes).
Not everyone is on a tariff that gives cheaper electricity at night. For those who don't have storage heaters and use very little electricity during the night economy 7 tariffs end up more expensive.Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!0 -

Make sure you put the storage heater back in, it will be the only cost efficient way to heat your space.
Do not use any other heater during the daytime (non E7) hours, and try to keep the use of high power devices (anything that heats or cools) to a minimum during the daytime hours.
Keep track of your usage with meter readings and see where you can cut back. Anything above ~30% of night usage will usually result in a saving.0
