Has anyone else tried it?
I gave it a go as it was supposed to make hair look thicker. I followed instructions to the letter and yes, my hair does look thicker. Was just as easy to comb through too.
Will continue with this for a while

Shampoo strips the hair and anything on it though so wouldn't this be counter productive?

My shampoo doesn't
But that's what I found strange - my hair is really bouncy and shiney after this method.0 -
Yes, I do this because if I use conditioner after shampoo, I can never rinse it out! My hair is thick, dead straight and in quite good condition anyway (tends towards greasiness) so I only condition it once every two weeks after I have coloured it. It works for me!"I may be many things but not being indiscreet isn't one of them"0

I tried this last night. At first, it was just plain weird. Before I ran the comb through it, it felt all knotty and coarse.
And then I dried it. It was definitely thicker and smoother.

I do this a lot anyway as I have naturally wavy hair which can get a bit unruly so I often put conditioner on before I shampoo.0

What an interesting tip.
I shall try it myself and report back (another with pathetically fine hair).:o0 -
Coincidentally I started doing this last week and it definitely makes a difference to my very fine straight hair; I'm only conditioning the lower half of my hair as well, so it's not getting weighed down at the roots. Initially it was a bit more flyaway but it soon settled down."Save £12k in 2019" #120 - £100,699.57/£100,0000

^ yes that's what I did. Just conditioned the ends. Left on for 5 mins and rinsed. Then used shampoo only on my scalp. Rinsed and repeat. Hair is still nice today. :T0

This might explain the pre shampoo hair treatments that have popped up in recent years.0
