Hi all, first post so be gentle,I have just printed of all my online statements that contain charges and was wondering if these would be acceptable instead of sending the first letter requesting all charges??  £865.35 in one year with Lloyds TSB,so went to local branch today and asked for my money back:rotfl: the teller was gobsmacked(not sure if it was cos I walked in and asked for it or at the amount, probably the first reason)
any help or advise would be  ......

Id still get the rest of your statements going back to July 01 if you can & do it that way. Id stick with the letters though as any deviation may become a stumbling block in the future

Hi GarethR,thats the really messed up bit........I only joined them last may:mad: ,so I can get all my statements online,do you think I should still ask them for a detailed list of all charges?
ps.I take it Lloyds bank in the address list is Lloyds TSB??:o0 -
if you already have your statements there is no need to apply with a fee and ask for them again...just tote up your charges and do a spreadsheet, i.e: charge description...date taken....amount of charge....days from charge up to claim.... interest charged...totalHi GarethR,thats the really messed up bit........I only joined them last may:mad: ,so I can get all my statements online,do you think I should still ask them for a detailed list of all charges?

this isnt a rough sum this is an indicator.....for instance, say you were charged £27.50 on 01-11-01 and say you made a court issue on 4th may 2007 you would calculate as follows:
charge description e.g. unpaid direct debit £27.50 date taken...01-11-01...days 8% p.a. = 2009 days ...Interest = £12.11 then total the charge, your charge claimed then would be = £39.61
hope that makes sense.

Sorry mate didnt realise that you only been with them a year, no need to ask for them if you already have your statements.
I would highlight all the charges then enter them into the calculator on this site, make sure you enter the correct details then calculate the interest beforing adding it to the list, I would also save it in a word doc for future use, heres the link:
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/bank-charges#interest
I would then send them a letter requesting it all back & stick to the timescales on here.
Yes I would have thought that its the same address.
Hope thats of help!

:j Thanks, now all I have to do is get copies made of everything(printer was running out of ink last night)and post them away.I am going to claim in two seperate claims cos I'm in Scotland and have read the £750 limit thing,so first one is £662.26 and then £203.09.
Is it just me or did anyone else get a warm feeling when doing this:D

Hi LISA68,What you do is click on the new thread icon on the forum page and you will be able to have your own thread, much better cos more people probably read the new ones first, but join in on mine if you want:beer:Hi there sorry couldnt find where to put my own thread waited 90 days for statements all i get is they have backlog but they have cashed my £10 cheque anything else i can do - thanks

Bad advice as it just means more work for the mods who have to merge similar threads together in order not to clutter the board up too much!Reclaimed thanks to this site:
£175 Abbey Mortgage Repayment Fee, £170.03 Capital One Bank Charges £418.07 Lloyds TSB Bank Charges, £2,671.55 Mis-sold Endowment Policy, all for OH0
