With Terry Leahy (ex-MrT) now on the board as well as a major shareholder and an IPO in the offing, look out for a whole gaggle of Tescoesk promotions to get future investors excited. "Two punctures for the cost of one Wanli."
Incidentally when this IPO comes to fruition, not only will it be the end of the business, many small, new shareholders will get their fingers burnt.
Unlike KF, this is an entirely service based business. They do massive deals on tyres with suppliers, get them shipped direct to non-supported fitters and take the majority profit on the deal. Not bad, exist on a great management team, a sound ICT system and call centres. Very few tangible assets, a future IT bubble for the popping.0 -
Thanks for all the useful replies, very positive!Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0

For what it's worth, I found that ASDA tyres were slightly cheaper than Blackcircles when I got mine changed last month.
Same set-up as Blackcircles - ASDA deliver them to a garage and the garage fits. I think the only difference is that you pay the garage direct (who presumably pay ASDA themselves).Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. No issues with Blackcircles either, I chose a garage that had a good rating on their site and it was very straight forward - I handed over the car then half an hour later they handed the keys back, I signed a form and drove off. I was expecting some suggestions about other work needing done as the car had a couple of other bits approaching replacement but nothing at all although other garages may vary.

Ask the local taxi drivers who they use. The place i goto are cheaper than the online prices from etyres and blackcircles etc.
205/55x 16. V or W rated.
Dont assume its online so must be cheaper. Always shop around.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Yes used them before but i fit my own.
mytyres.co.uk Find these cheaper and a very good quick service they come from Germany.
I've found MyTyres to be somewhat variable, have waited six weeks for some Goodyear Eagle F1s from them once. It's a good job my car didn't have a spacesaver!
This time around Camskill were the best price, tyres arrived at my house the next day, predictibly at the exact moment I popped out to post a letter, resulting in funny looks from my neighbour who signed for them.0 -
But not blackcircle employees so that part is irrelevant unless the OP has the option of using the same fitters.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

Please do not fit what your local taxi driver fits! Even when it's the cheapest ditchfinder, they'll still want a discount and ask to pay you next week - in pound coins.
Internet is your friend coupled to owners forums for favoured makes. Not all brands suit all cars.0 -
I used blackcircles.com for the first time this winter when I fitted winter tyres. The local fitter was someone who I had not used before, but I was pleased with the whole experience - especially with the use of a torque wrench and not a rattle gun in sight. I will definitely use them again. (And probably quite soon - if I buy some summer tyres there, they will store the winter tyres for free.)If someone is nice to you but rude to the waiter, they are not a nice person.0

I've had some good deals from tyre shopper in the past and they have 5% off at the moment:-
