Eon account on checkmyfile
Midwife
For some time bloody eon have had an account on my credit file, it was paid off last year, in approx feb, it shows as having 3 late payments (which I have disputed and they maintain is correct) and is now showing as an open account with a 0 balance and NR in the latest months reporting. I think this account is only reported to equifax and checkmyfile did contact them and eon on my behalf but still it is showing as an open account. Does this matter?

If the account is closed then it is better for it to be shown as closed.
You could contact equifax or just contact the eon yourself.
People don't usually seem to have much success using 3rd party agencies to query items on their files.
Have you checked your experian file to see it doesn't show on there (if you are only checking checkmyfile it doesn't have experian account data on it).A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
