When will we get Fibre optic broadband in Lincolnshire???

Options
Why do big builders not put this in? We are 0.5 miles from the exchange and there is a fibre optic box at the end of our road but none in the roads of our new build estate!
Anyone know when we are likely to get it?

If after checking your area on Openreach's website your area is not currently listed as Coming Soon be sure to register your interest on the Openreach site as well as, if possible, your preferred provider(s) as the fibre rollout is prioritised for high demand areas and you will also want to encourage your preferred provider to add that area to their own serviced areas.

If you know your neighbours well enough you could suggest that they do the same. The more potential customers the quicker you'll be enabled (although how long no one can say but Openreach).

Because punters will still buy houses without? There was another thread that the developers put fibre to the cabinet (FTTC) but then anyone connecting to it was forced to sign up with a telco who paid for the work - not BT or Virgin. This meant there was no freedom of choice - so not ideal.

Do they these days? I'm sure I've seen figures saying it was an increasingly important requirement for many people, though the phrase "big builder" to me always has connotations of cost-cutting and lowest common denominator..

We are about a mile from our enabled exchange, but as there are not enough houses at our end we don't seem to be getting it. As we are on the A21 I could see why but it would not be too difficult as there is a data pipeline all the way from the exchange past us. Finance I assume.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.
