Knorr marketing scam

Bought Knorr stock pot pack with a money off coupon attached. When I got home I discovered the coupon expired last year, despite the product having a sell-by date of 2015. Knorr's response was to refuse to honour the coupon. I won't be buying their products again, so their loss.

How exactly is this a marketing scam ?
More like a stock control issue at the place you bought the Knorr product from.0 -

The expiry date of money off coupons is usually stated on the coupon. Did you read it ?0 -
No way is it a marketing scam, its just a case of the item got pushed to the back of the shelf, the staff dont have time to check when an attached coupon expires.0

Please don't use the term scam unless it really is one, it devalues the term. This isn't a scam.0

If the OP is that indignant about a voucher that is only a few months out of date can you imagine how upset I am!
Last month I bought a pack of Kleenex Cottonelle Flushable Moist Wipes from a large, national supermarket chain. I only purchased them because they had a coupon on them. It was only after I had opened the pack that I realised that the coupon expired 06/30/11 - nearly 3 years ago!
Do you think that the supermarket should reimburse me for my travel costs to enable me to change the pack for one with a valid coupon?
The purchase was made at the Super Spar, The Grove, Nelspruit, South Africa.0 -
