Replacing Halogen Downlighters with LED Strips

Hi all

I have some 12v under cabinet halogen downlighters that I'm forever changing bulbs in

I want to change them for an LED strip. What I want to know is can I use the Ansell ATX 20/60 12v Transformers that are already there, or will I have to buy a new one(s)?

Any guidance gratefully received

Thanks

Chances are you will need to use a LED drive too

You can retro fit LED bulbs into the existing housing. Ansell also do some smart LED under cabinet lighting downlights

LED strips need a DC supply. Your Ansell unit is probably just a transformer, so it's AC and not suitable.
