New Orange/EE price increase's

Ive got a phone on orange/ee that i took out ona 24 month contract in jan 2013. since jan 2014 i have not been able to use the phone's data, it just can not connect to internet unless im on wifi. called several times and they really dont care, or want to help.
today, ive recieved a letter to say that there is going to be a 2.7% price increase on all contracts as of 28th may 2014. what a kick in the teeth. it doesnt sound like alot but im so unhappy with them anyway i really dont want to be paying them even more.
basically what i want to know is my rights, as a customer, do i have any rights what so ever to terminate my contract without paying an early termination fee??
Any help on this would be great as i really dont know where to start!:)

I've received the same letter today, I'll be watching this with interest.
  • I have just called the cancellations department to request the official complaints email address to send my cancellation request through and they have advised they dont have one, there are some listed on the webite that i have recieved an email back to advise me they can not be used. the advisor told me they will be monitoried by external companies only...:/ you HAVE to speak to them over the phone, or you can send ur request to cancel via mail.

See the second link in my previous post. It has the email addresses to send to.

The third post on the thread details the process. There are a few back and forward emails, and EE will deny you can cancel but eventually you submit a case to CISAS and they then make a ruling. Hopefully in your favour.

It's worth noting you have to reject the price increase within one month of being notified of the change.
  • Since submitting this i have had no response what so ever no acknowledgement at all. i have had to email them again asking for something back from them and advising i will have to take this further if they fail to respond to me, does anyone know what my next port of call would be?
